Do you want to make more money, but have no idea of what you can do? Do you find
it hard to live on the money you make?
Demanding people pay you more money might seem to be the right answer, but in
most cases, it is not the answer.
Selling possessions might solve your problem, but only temporarily.
Borrowing money is definitely not the solution as it makes the problem worse.
So where can you get the money?

So the right question is: How should you change your activities so your income

Service Capacity Formula
If you were trying to increase a business income, you could take several actions
that would result in more income. You would promote your product or service,
find buyers, show them what you have to offer and so on.
You would also do all you could to improve your ability to service your buyers.
You would give them what they paid for as quickly as possible. Even better, you
would give them more than they expected (see article "The Honest Way to Get
Rich" at

What works for businesses also works for individuals.

How can you do this?
1. You invest in your service capacity.
2. You get your service capacity used.
3. You deliver a greater service.
4. Your income increases.
For example, a hairdresser has one work station for her alone. She averages 12
customers per day which is her maximum. She reads the above formula and invests
in her service capacity.
She buys another work station complete with a new sink, mirrors, a chair and
supplies. She learns how to take care of two customers at the same time. While
the first customer's hair is drying, she is cutting another customer's hair.
They all chat and enjoy themselves more with this new arrangement. She is now
handling 20 customers per day. Her income increases.
She starts the cycle again and invests in another station and hires a shampoo
girl. Her capacity increases, she gets the capacity used and now sees 25
customers per day. Her income had doubled.
As another example, you enter data in a computer. You feel like you have a
dead-end job. You make $12 per hour and have no seniority. You decide to invest
in your service capacity.
Whenever the computers crash, everyone sits and waits for the technician to
correct the problem. You know the technician makes $40 per hour. You corner the
company president and ask, "I can learn to correct the computer problems and
since I'm already here, we wouldn't have to wait for the technician. I would
also be willing to charge just $30 per hour. If I can't fix it and need to bring
in the technician, you won't have to pay me. In fact, I'll fix the problem for
free for the first month. Is it a deal?"
The president thinks for about five seconds and says, "Deal!"
You invest in your service capacity by paying for night school classes to learn
the software. You are fixing the computers within four weeks. One thing leads to
another and you are making $50 per hour within four months.
Anyone can invest in their service capacity.

Service Capacity Investment Examples
● Instead of drinking beer after work for a few weeks, an auto mechanic gets the
shop owner to show him how to paint cars. The mechanic earns more pay as an auto
painter and the shop owner can now sell a new service.
● A Texas book publishing company hires a team to translate their best-selling
books into Spanish. They can now produce twice as many books without finding new
books to publish.
● You start an exercise and diet program so you can work faster and longer
without getting tired. You increase your personal service capacity by 40%.
● A restaurant invests in more staff hours so it can expand its hours. It can
now serve earlier breakfasts and later dinners.
● As a boat salesperson, you notice you sell more boats when you are cheerful.
Since you only feel cheerful two days each week, you invest in a
self-improvement program, such as the Dianetics Visual Guide DVD, and soon find
you are cheerful four days each week. Your sales double. You get promoted to
sales manager.
With a little thought and creativity, you can find many ways to increase YOUR
service capacity.
